The Scientific Committee of the 2nd
International Symposium on Food Development
and Innovation – INNOVA 2005,
will accept abstracts of scientific
papers up to 30th June 2005. Only those
abstracts duly submitted before the
due date and approved by the Scientific
Committee shall be presented as posters
and will be included in the Symposium
proceedings.
2.
At least one of the authors has to
register for the Symposium when submitting
his abstract and this entitles up
to a maximum of two papers per registrant.
3.
Only papers pertaining to the Symposium’s
main topic areas will be accepted:

Functional
Foods and Nutraceuticals (FN) |

and Food Packaging (FP) |
4.
Abstracts should be presented in Word
format for Windows, Arial 12 font,
1, 5 spaced. They can be presented
either in English, Spanish or Portuguese,
with a maximum of 300 words. The document
should be submitted with no orthographical,
grammatical or typing errors as it
will be published as it comes. The
abstract should not include tables,
graphs or photos. It should include
keywords for electronic version search.
5.
Abstracts should make reference to
the following aspects: justification,
objectives, methods, results, and
significance of the research in food
science field.

Submission format (see example):

Title: In capitals and bold characters. |

Authors: Complete surname followed
by a comma to separate given name
- only initials of given name
(capital letters). Indicate with
superscript the organization belonging
to (in regular font). Indicate
with * the presenting author. |

d.
Abstract text: 300 words maximum. |

e.
Keywords: maximum 5. |

The Secretariat will send you
a reference number as proof of
reception of your abstract. |

8.
Complete papers (poster) must contain:
Title, authors, position, organization,
city and country of origin, abstract,
introduction, materials and methods,
results and discussion, conclusions
and reference following the usual
regulations for scientific papers
as well as keywords for electronic
version search. All tables and figures
should be numbered with the corresponding
reference in the body of the document.
The poster dimensions should not exceed
90 cms wide by 120 cms high and should
be posted in the space indicated by
the Secretariat at the Conference
Center.
