POSTERS

Posters Presentation
Posters should be brought in to the Conference venue by one of the authors and should be installed at the Posters´exhibition area following indications by the Secretariat at the Registrations desk. Authors should place posters in the Posters area according to numbers allocated when submitted.
Posters size should be 0.90 mtrs wide x 1.20 mtrs high. Double face tape should be used for panels posters sticking.
Authors will be able to indicate on a post-it form next to their poster, another time when they will be by their poster to answer queries from participants besides the allocated official time stated in the program. Authors or presenting authors will be responsible to place and take away their posters in times and dates allocated in the program or the Secretariat. Neither the Organizing Committee of the 19th ISTRO Conference nor the Radisson Hotel or the Organization will be responsible for any posters missing during the Conference or alter the Conference finishes.

2) SUBMISSION OF COMPLETE PAPERS

Only authors whose abstracts have been accepted should send complete papers before 30th April 2012

If you choose to present complete paper for ISTRO Conference you should send it in English version only.
If you choose SUCS meeting option, you can send complete paper in English, Spanish or Portuguese.

Complete papers should be 10 pages maximum, including graphics, tables, graphs, photos, references, etc. Margins and spaces will be provided by the on-line software when submitting.
Complete papers of invited speakers may be 20 pages maximum.

TITLE AND AUTHORS OF COMPLETE PAPERS

For complete papers, the title must be in bold capital font, centred on top of the first page. Authors names should be in capitals and small writing (the first letter shoud be in capital font), centered with respect to the title, leaving a blank line between the title and the name of the authors. Authors´ addresses, organizations and respective countries shall be in the next line using upper indexes.

SUB-TITLES - COMPLETE PAPERS

For complete papers, use sub-titles for Abstract, Introduction, Materials and Methods, Results, Conclusions, Acknowledgements, References and Keywords. Any of these if inappropriate may be omitted. In some cases, other titles can be used if necessary. Sub-titles should be to the left margin, in separate lines, bold characters, with no blank space before the text to follow.

TABLES AND GRAPHS

Tables should be incorporated within the text as appropriate. These should be numbered with Arabic numerals as per text reference order. Each Table should be followed by the number, a space, and the title of the table. This title should be to the left margin. Only the first character of the word "Table" and of the title should be in capital letter. Do not use vertical lines and show the table with a minimum number of horizontal lines, as for example 3 as shown below. Do not insert additional lines within the title and the table or within the table. The table should be separated by a blank line from the text to follow.

Photos and images should be inserted in the body text. These should be also sent under separate files. The style and format of the title should be as per the Tables´format but below images.

Leave a space in the text to include images if they come under separate files.

UNITS AND ABBREVIATIONS

Please use the International System of Units (SI) for units and symbols.

REFERENCES

Please quote text citations with numbers and in between brackets (1). In the reference list, assign sequential number to each one as the appear in the text. Please detail all authors. Do not underline or use capitals. Write the source in italic type. Do not insert spaces between initials.

KEYWORDS

Please include keywords for easy search as per topics and papers (5 words maximum).

TOPICS AREAS

These will be outlined in the website form for your classification and submission of abstracts and papers.

PAGE NUMBERING

The paper should conclude with complete page numbering for easy contents' location.

3) ORAL PRESENTATIONS OF INVITED KEYNOTE LECTURERS

The Scientific Committee will allocate time to invited speakers.
The session Secretary will be strict with time controls.
Powerpoint presentations should be loaded previous to each presentation at the Speakers' Ready room computers ast half a day before the time of presentation. Personal laptops will not be allowed in the conference halls to save time.

NOTES

  • Keynote lectures and all abstracts will be published in the Official Confrence proceedings. 
  • Keynote lectures, Complete Papers and abstracts will be presented in CD .
  • All authors should indicate the organizers the sessions in which they want to incorporate their  abtracts and complete papers when submitting them according to the  topics and tracks suggested b the Scientific Committee in  the website submission forms.  
  • Abstracts of posters and oral free communications as well as of conferences will be published in the Abstracts Book. 
  • All papers should be preceded  by the corresponding abstract and should then come with the  corresponding complete paper.   The presentation of the  Poster itself  at the  conference  venue is optional to bring in.
  • Abstracts  and complete papers which do not comply with these instructions will not be accepted for publication.  
  • The Editors of the abstracts´publication issue will   hold the right to make small amendments to the format of the papers.   In  extreme cases,  some may be rejected and posters not accepted.   Unless you are notified by the editors, you can assume that your paper has been accepted.   Authors of papers and not the Editors, will be responsible of the information and the conclusions presented.    
  • A reference number will be assigned to all abstracts when submitted and received by the Secretariat and this number will be referred to when communications or observations are sent by the Editors   regarding abstracts or papers.  Same number should be used for any queries regarding papers or abstracts.    A space in the Posters’ panels area will be assigned with the reference number provided  by the Secretariat.   Same number will be used for the Posters session, as well as for the Abstracts book or the publication.
  • It is the responsibility of the first author to communicate all co-authors the acceptance or any communication received  by the Secretariat or the Scientific Committee regarding the paper or abstract.  

PLEASE INDICATE IN THE RESPECTIVE WEB FORM,  IF THE ABSTRACT  OR PAPER SUBMITTED CORRESPONDS TO FREE COMMUNICATION  AS  ORAL, POSTER, or ABSTRACT OF INVITED SPEAKER CONFERENCE  IN THE RESPECTIVE FORM IN THE WEBSITE.   

  • Before 1st May 2012 the Scientific Committee will invite authors of selected  papers to send in a complete  paper to be published in a Special Number of the Magazine AGROCIENCIA  (http://www.fagro.edu.uy/agrociencia/ )
  • In such case where the author accepts the invitation,   complete paper  should be sent to the Magazine, which will include it in its own revision system.
